BC Kalev/Cramo finished with a 15:4 run and shrunk the deficit to 11 points which was just enough to advance to BBL semi-finals despite losing the second leg 66:77 (36:43) to Riga Barons kvartals. First time in BBL history the final four consist from 2 Estonian and 2 Lithuanian clubs and the second year in a row there aren’t any Latvian teams in the top4.  BC Kalev/Cramo will face Prienai Vytautas in the semi-final.

Todays game was a real challenge for visiting Kalev/Cramo. After 18 minutes the score was 34:34 and Kalev’s  lead from the first game looked safe. With a 9-2 run to finish the half, the hosts started the second half on fire. Tyler Larson had 10 points in the first 6 minutes and Barons led 65:45 which meant that the 19 point lead had gone. Nothing went Kalev’s way, and just five and a half minutes before the end Barons was up 73:53…
But the Estonian champion did not quit. They made 6 of their last 8 shots and forced the opponents to only make 2 out of 13 which meant Kalev advanced! Cedric Simmons had a nice outing with 18 points, 9 rebounds, Vitaly Liutych added 18 and Branko Mirkovic 10 points.
Kalev/Cramo shot much better than the hosts (24/50 vs 28/74) but despite getting  24 shots more (thanks to offensive rebounding +6 and turnovers 25:9(!)) than the visitors it was not enough for Barons.
