BC Kalev/Cramo wasn’t able to make club history and reach the BBL final after blowing a 14 point lead against Prienai Vytautas. The game ended 77:88 (35:29) and Kalev lost by five points in two games. Vytautas who played in BBL final in 2013 and 2014 will face either Pieno Zvaigzdes or Tartu Ülikool.

Vitali Liutych had 19, Mirkovic got his game going in the final minutes scoring multiple hard shots had 16 points and Erik Keedus finished with 11. Winning the rebounding battle (18:9) and scoring 12 more points in second chances (20:8) were the key’s to the visitors success alongside with 21 points from Regimantas Miniotas, 17 Vytenis Lipkevicius and 16 points from Darius Gvezdauskas.

Kalev started great and took a 8:2 lead within four minutes  thanks to very bad shooting from the hosts. The lead spread again in the start of the third quarter and after Tollefsen made a three and Keedus scored twice in a row and Kalev led 29:15 , everything seemed to go their way but Lithuanian spirit doesn’t give up! The hosts managed to get a few small runs thanks to Keeduses third foul and were dow 35:29 after the first half.

Second half started with a bang, Delinikaitis made a three, Keedus got an offensive foul on the next play which was his fourth and the Lithuanians started to get in a groove. With Keedus on the bench, Delinikaitis scored twice from the deep to end the quarter and Vytautas took a 54:51 lead before the final quarter. 13:0! Eight minutes to go, Vytautas took the reigns and went on a crazy 13:0 run which almost decided the game. Kalev tried their hardest to get back in the game, with two minutes to go, Sokk made two free-throws and added a three after Vytautas turned the ball over, 68:78 it wasn’t hopeless. Opponents made their free-throws Mirkovic responded with a banked in three, total score -3 for Kalev… Vytautas missed again and Liutych had a chance to tie the series but missed.
