Power demonstration in Riga23-02-2016

BC Kalev/Cramo played their best game at VTB, where they defeated Riga VEF in Riga 84:75 (36:30). Kalev started the game with a 10:0 run and let the opponents lead only 9 seconds during the game
It was a sweet revenge in their rivalry after losing by 8 points in Saku Suurhall. Kalev has now won 3 of the 4 “Baltic derby’s”. Morris Curry had 20 points with 8 assists, Latvian Rolands Freimanis had a nice double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Gregor Arbet had a good shooting day with 17 points while making 4 out of 5 three point attempts. Shawn King had yet another double-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks.  Mareks Mejeris had 14 for VEF, when in January  Mejeris and Martins Meiers managed to shoot 18/21 from inside the arc then today they only made 6/10. Kalev won the rebounding game 46:37 while making 9 of 26 from the three.
As said before, Kalev started great and took an early 10:0 lead while finishing the quarter 20:12. But VEF woke up in the second and made Kalev miss 8 of their first 9 shots and took the lead in 18th minute 28:26.  But with King showing great defense and offense, Kalev finished the quarter with a 10:2 run and won the half 36:30. From that on every time VEF got closer Kalev had an answer.
