BC Kalev/Cramo faced Jenissey at Krasnojarsk and showed a really up-down game, being fantastic at one moment and terrible in the next moment. Despite fighting hard, the visitors took a 90:99 (44:47) loss. Kalev now has two wins and six losses while Jenissey has won four games from nine so far.
Mark Tollefsen, who made 6 three point shots scored 28 points, Demonte Harper added 26 points, 11 assists. Unfortunately Liutych and Gladness had a bad night which led to a VTB league debut for Matthias Tass who played 15 minutes and was not able to score but was good on defense and collected 5 rebounds. Nigerian Suleiman Braimoh was the leading scorer with 30 points, while Frank Elegar, the former Kalev/Cramo player missed the game due to an injury.
The opponents won the rebounding battle 43:38 (OR 18:16), got more points in the paint (48:36), off turnovers (17:10) and from the line (19:14). Kalev was good from the deep making 12 of 28 but that was not enough.
