Khimki was too powerful26-01-2015

Another superclub was in Tallinn for a VTB United League game. The game against BC Khimki was decided in the second quarter and finished with the score 70 : 94. Frank Elegar had 14 points and 10 rebounds for BC Kalev, Rain Veideman added 12 and Scott Machado 10 points. For Khimki, last years Euroleague MVP Tyrece Rice and finnish best player Petteri Koponen both had 17 points.

Rimas Kurtinaitis, the head coach of BC Khimki, said after the game that it is always hard to play in Tallinn. “Luckily they just lost one of their best players in Freimanis. Also we have a great and deep bench which decided the game today.”

Coach Varrak after the game: “We let the game slip away in the second quarter. There isn’t anything to do, we have 11 players and 4 games in 8 days. We need to get through this hard period. And ofcourse it takes time to adjust to losing Freimanis.”
