Kalev/Cramo – Pärnu 1:002-05-2017



Opening game of the semi-finals turned out to be pleasantly tight for BC Kalev/Cramo who only managed to get a narrow 73:71 (36:36) win in the final minutes. Despite being down most of the first half Kalev managed to take the game under control in the third quarter and grew the lead to 9 points (65:56). Somehow the hosts managed to turn things around and go on a 12:2 run despite looking lost in the court for a couple of minutes. Two minutes to go and Pärnu took the lead thanks to Mihkel Kirves, but Simmons responded with two made free-throws and a huge three in the final minute by Sten Sokk put Kalev ahead 72:68. Pärnu responded immediately with a three of their with Hallik showing his clutch gene. After getting an offensive rebound and 9 seconds to go, Sokk went to the free-throw line, after making 1 of 2 the lead was 73-71. Pärnu had the chance to shoot to win but missed.

Erik Keedus had a nice game for Kalev scoring 14 points (4/9 from the deep), Tollefsen added 13, Mirkovic 12 and Martin Dorbek 11 points. Kalev won the rebounding battle 40:35 (offensive rebounds 11:5), made 13/35 from the deep – against Pärnus 7/19 but both teams struggled from the free-throw line, Kalev made 8/16 and Pärnu 12/23. Next game of the series will be held on Tuesday in Pärnu.
