Kalev/Cramo inks their first player21-10-2016

Reigning Estonian champion Kalev/Cramo signed their first foreign player – 213cm Robert Upshaw. American center played in Fresno State and Washington University, in 2015 put himself up in 2015 Draft but was not picked. Despite that he played in Summer League for Los Angeles Lakers and signed an unguaranteed contract after he was waived before the season. As a troubled but prospect player he played in D-league for the Los Angeles D-Fenders and averaged 15,6 minutes while scoring 7,3 points, grabbing 4,5 rebounds and blocking 1,4 shots. Coach Varrak added – ” He has had a few off the court issues in the past but hopefully he makes full use of the opportunity that he has been given.” The coaching staff has stayed the same with Alar Varrak leading the team and Martin Müürsepp assisting him, while physios Priit Lehismets and Harvis Mill have signed their extensions.
