Head coach of Unics – Andrea Trinchieri predicted tough game „ Despite their low budget, Kalev is very tough to beat, especially at their home court. We managed to control the game and win it. Our main goal is to find the common rhythm for the whole team- to get everybody on the same page and get better with each game. When we accomplish that then we can set long-term goals. Trinchieri was pleased that his players neutralized Armands Skele and he also complemented Frank Elegar and Vlad Moldoveanu for their great performance.
Alar Varrak said that they also missed a bit of luck to make an upset win. But overall he was pleased with his team’s performance tonight and believes that Kalev is ready to compete against high level teams.
One of the best players of today’s game – Vlad Moldoveanu thought that game tonight was very aggressive and that was the reason that took Kalev close to almost winning. He hopes his team can start winning now – “to do that we need to avoid those moments, where we totally break down. I think our team has more potential than we show at the moment.”
