Probably the best team in Europe at the moment Moscow CSKA showed why they are the favourites this year with crushing BC Kalev 113 : 79 . The opponents were very well prepared for the game and ready to end BC Kalev’s win streak.

Nando de Colo had 21, Sonny Weems 19 and Andrei Vorontsevich 18 points for the winners. Frank Elegar was again BC Kalev/Cramos top scorer with 23 points and 11 rebounds, Scott Machado added 21, Rain Veideman 10 and Gregor Arbet 9 points.

Dimitris Itoudis, the head coach of CSKA, who last year left from Estonia with a loss while coaching Banvit in Eurocup commented that their team played really well today, but also commented on the Estonian team: ” I have to praise Kalev, they’ve shown great basketball and had a serious preparation for todays game. BC Kalev has what it takes to play in the play-offs this season.”

Coach Varrak after the game: “It’s kind of silly to say that we played well after a 30 point loss, but we played good on offense and got some great baskets. They’re offense was unstoppable today, thats why the big margin. Probably very few teams in Europe could have played a tight game against that kind of game.”
