BC Kalev/Cramo’s slump in VTB continues after losing to BC Astana at home  80:86 (38:47). Despite it being a close game, the nubmers seem quite astonishing – Astana won the rebounding battle 51:27 and got to the line more 24:10 but Kalev took better care of the ball, turning it over only 7 times against the visitors 20. But the inability to convert three point shots might have cost the game, making only 7 out of 28 shots.

Rolands Freimanis had 28 points while latest additions Morris Curry had 21 and Mario Delaš 14. Nik Caner-Medley had 24 points and 10 rebounds for Astana while Pat Calathes had also a double double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Kalev has now lost all eight of their games against Astana, going back to 2011. Kalev/Cramo has 4 wins and 12 losses in the league but play-offs aren’t that far away. Nizni is in 8th place with 8 wins, and is trailed bye Astana, Bisons, Jenissei, Tsmoki and Volgograd with 6 wins.
