VTB United league continued for BC Kalev/Cramo when they hosted Lokomotive Kuban. Kalev managed to fight back against the Russian powerhouse for 1 half which the Estonian team won 47:41,  but in the end the stronger team took their own 71:89. Kalev continued their sad series against great teams, all 5 games have been lost in double digits. Kalev/Cramo now has 3 wins from 8 games while Lokomotive has 5 wins from 3 games.

For Lokomotive,  Victor Claver had 21 points and 10 rebounds while Anthony Randolph had 15 points, both players with multiple years of NBA experience. Josh Boone was again one of the best players for Kalev with 16 points and 8 boards, Erik Keedus was a good surprise with 15 points and 5 assists while both Rain Veideman and Janar Soo had 9 points. Lokomotive was great at containing our leaders – Freimanis had only 5 points while Arbet didn’t score at all.

Kalev/Cramo managed to win the rebounding battle 37:33 (offensive boards 12:8), they also had 15 turnovers. Kalev made 10 of their 27 three point shots while Lokomotive 9 out of 21. Again we struggled with free-throws, Kalev made 9 out of 17 while the opponents got double the amount and made 26 of 34!

This wednesday Kalev will host Jenissey in their last FIBA Europe Cup game.
