BC Kalev/Cramo faced the defending champs from Israel last night. Kalev started out excellent! First quarter and first half belonged to hosts – 45:28. On contrary, second half was total disaster for Kalev/Cramo. 4 minutes until the end of fourth quarter Maccabi tied the game and took the win 64:68.
Ty Abbott scored 14 and Rain Veideman 11 points. For Maccabi – Donta Smith contributed 21 points.

Maccabi Haifa head coach Danny Franco: “We didn’t start the game with the right emotion. Kale/Cramo’s record fooled us, they are much better team that their record shows. We played too soft in the first half and Kalev fought for each ball better than we did. But luckily we managed to turn the game over in the second half and let Kalev score only 19 points. That shows our team’s good character.

Alar Varrak: „ We played great basketball first half, but second half we lost self-confidence and our offence didn’t run any more, we weren’t as aggressive any more. I feel very bad about this loss .We should’ve won this game.”

  1. How can you hate Israel? They’re clearly have one of the most efnifcieet work forces in the world, they have an excellent education system and clearly they’ve contributed more to the world than the neighbouring Arab countries, who continually complain about how much of a Pariah Israel is. Well out it this way, I’d rather have a Pariah state than a bunch of nations struggling to develop and put aside their barbaric, medieval practices and prejudices. Advice noted, next time I wont try with the jokes I’ll just write what comes to mind!
