BC Kalev/Cramo’s six game losing streak in VTB league ended in Georgia where they defeated local Tbilisi Vita 78:77 (41:30). Although the win was narrow Kalev controlled the game from the start. Three and a half minutes before the end Kalev led by 10 but the hosts managed to claw back until six seconds before the end Shawn King’s free-throw gave the win to Kalev.
Rolands Freimanis had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, Morris Curry had 13 in the first quarter and finished with 18, while Arbet added 14 points and Shaw King had another double-double with 11 points and rebounds. Omar Thomas scored 28 and grabbed 12 rebounds for Vita.
Kalev had trouble taking care of the ball committing 24 turnovers, but they forced opponents to shoot under 40% from the field ( compared to Kalev’s 52%). Again the free-throws were lopsided 17 for Vita and 5 for Kalev.
On tuesday Kalev/Cramo faces Pärnu Sadam in Alexela League and on friday they go to Riga to face VEF in VTB.
