Estonian Cup winner was decided last night in Tartu. Old rivals Tartu Rock and BC Kalev/Cramo met in the final game. This time it was Tartu’s time to shine – they secured the trophy by a last second game-winning shot- 71:69.
Kalev/Cramo’s best scorers were Frank Elegar with 19, Indrek Kajupank with 14, Bamba Fall and Tanel Sokk both with 10 points. Augustas Peciukevicius from Rock, who was the author for the game-winning shot, received the MVP award. He had 16 points; Gert Dorbek added 14 and Janar Talts 13 points.
Alar Varrak was disappointed, but congratulated the opposing team: “Both teams played very good game, but this time details mattered. They made tough last-second shots in five possessions, including last one. They deserved to win tonight“
