BC Kalev/Cramo finished their FIBA Europe Cup season with 0 wins and 6 losses after they lost to Krasnojarsk Jenissey at home 87:91 (48:31). Although Kalev showed great basketball in the first half, especially in the second quarter, the game turned around in the third quarter when Jenissey outscored Kalev 14:33. Kalev finished the european season with no wins but losing games with average of less than 5 points shows how tough the group was.
Sten Sokk who has been on fire lately made 5 threes and finisehd with 18 points for Kalev/Cramo, Josh Boone and Marco Killinsgworth had 15 points while Brandis Raley-Ross had 14 points. Delroy James took the game over by scoring 36 points and helping Jenissey to win. Kalev lost the rebounding battle 30:39, had 19 turnovers against opponents 14 and got only 12 points from free-throws (opponents had 25). Only positive note was a good day behind the arc making 13 of 24 threes.
Same time in Rishon-Le Zion, Sofia Lukoil Academic defeatead hosts Maccabi 77:72 which meant that all three of Kalev’s opponents will continue in FIBA Europe Cup Stage II. Jenissey will take on Tartu University/Rock with Chalon and Cantu in their group also.
