A loss in VTB season opener19-10-2015
Third year in a row, BC Kalev/Cramo was unable to start their VTB season with a win when they faced Czech champion BC Nymburk. After reloading the team with new and exciting players this summer, Nymburk got their first home win of the season 79:65 (44:34). Ronalds Freimanis scored 14 points and added 9 rebounds, Josh Boone had also 14 points and 6 rebounds, Brandis Raley-Ross scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while Sten Sokk had 5 assists and 10 points.
Michael Dixon had 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winner. Julian Vaughn added 12 points and 6 rebounds, Howard Sant-Roos who was added during the summer from Serie B scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Czech U20 team leader Martin Peterka had 8 points and 5 boards, Belgian National team member Maxime De Zeeuw grabbed 10 rebounds and added 7 points. Kalev/Cramo had 9 more turnovers than their opponents (19-10). Although last season Kalev/Cramo won quite comfortably twice against Nymburk last season, it was clear that this wasn’t the case today. Both teams changed their key players, while most of Nymburk guys had a decent debut, Marco Killingsworth had a gruesome game for Kalev/Cramo scoring only 3 points.
